Jeff Jefferson Jr.
Coach Jefferson is a native of Madisonville, TX. as he was born here in 1987. Coach Jefferson Sr., his father, was the head girls basketball coach for the Mustangs in the early nineties.
Coach Jefferson is entering his 10th year in education. Coach Jefferson coaches the triple and long jumpers for the Madisonville track program and is the head girls basketball coach for our basketball program. This will be Coach Jefferson's 2nd year in Madisonville as a Speech teacher.
Coach Jefferson began his coaching career at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX, as a student coach for the basketball team. He graduated Howard Payne University in December of 2011 with a bachelors degree in Exercise Sports Science and continued his teaching/ coaching career in Waco, TX at La Vega High School. Coach Jefferson served at La Vega High School for 4 years where he coached football, boys basketball, & track. Coach Jefferson switched roles and his first head coaching job was at Pflugerville Connally coaching girls basketball for 5 years. After Pflugerville Connally Coach Jefferson moved back to the boys side in 2021 in Normangee as the head boys basketball coach.
