Coach Urbantke is entering his 25 th year in public education in the state of Texas. Coach

Urbantke is currently the Head Football Coach and Assistant Athletic Director here in Madisonville. He

was an assistant coach in Lorena, Mart, Lake Highlands and Plano West for 15 years prior to arriving in

Madisonville in 2016. He served as the Offensive Coordinator for 3 seasons before being promoted to

the Head Coach starting the 2019 season. Coach Urbantke has also been a Head Coach in Track and

Field, Basketball and Soccer in his previous schools. In the 2012-2013 school year he was named the

assistant coach of the year for the Richardson Independent School District. Coach Urbantke and his

teams have made the playoffs four out of the six seasons since taking over the football program. He has

coached many state medalists and qualifiers in Track and Field and was also an assistant coach at Mart

in 2006 when they won the AA State Football Championship.

Coach Urbantke has been married to Lisa Urbantke for 24 years and they have 2 children:

Brynlee (20) and Avery (15). Coach Urbantke is a graduate of Riesel High School and Baylor University.

Coach Urbantke enjoys fishing, hunting, gardening, outdoor cooking and mentoring student athletes.

What happened yesterday is history. What happens tomorrow is a mystery. What we do today
