Cameron Wendel is entering his 13th year in coaching, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to developing student-athletes both on and off the field. Over the past three years, he served as the Linebackers Coach, Special Teams Coordinator, and Head Basketball Coach at Buffalo High School. Prior to his time at Buffalo, Coach Wendel held teaching and coaching positions at Shepherd ISD, Magnolia ISD, and New Caney ISD, contributing to a variety of programs and student success. His passion for coaching and leadership continues to impact athletes at every level.

Coach Wendel is husband to Kasey Wendel, and father to Dax(8) and Charlie(4). He is a graduate of Texas Tech University, with a major in History and minor in Secondary Education. If you can’t find Coach Wendel in the classroom or on the field/court, he loves to spend his time on the links and is an avid golfer. Coach Wendel is very excited and honored to be joining the Mustang Family in the fall.
