Coach Borgfeld is entering his 29th year working in public education for the state of Texas. Coach Borgfeld will be entering his 9th year in Madisonville as a high school Government/Economics teacher. Coach Borgfeld is currently the Junior High Coordinator, in addition to coaching the Offensive Line and Junior High Basketball.  Coach Borgfeld has held positions at San Antonio Central Catholic, Refugio, and La Vernia before coming to Madisonville. While at these places, Coach Borgfeld has coached WRs and Offensive Line on the offensive side, and the defensive side has coached Defensive Line and Outside Linebackers. While at Refugio and La Vernia, Coach Borgfeld held many positions such as the Head Girls Basketball, Head Boys Basketball, Head Baseball, and Junior High Athletic Coordinator.

 Coach Borgfeld has been married to his wife Stacy Borgfeld for 10 years, and they have 3 sons, Blake (25), Ryan (22), and Cody (21). Coach Borgfeld graduated from La Vernia High (91) and Southwest Texas State (97) with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and a Minor in History.  In 2024, Coach Borgfeld received his Master's Degree from SFA in Educational Leadership. In his spare time, Coach Borgfeld loves to travel with his wife and family and also loves working in his yard.
