Jamin Savell


Coach Savell is entering his 17th year in coaching and teaching in the state of Texas.  Coach Savell serves as the offensive line coach, head powerlifting coach, will assist in track, and work inclusion at the high school.  He began his coaching career in Madisonville and since leaving has coached at Mayde Creek, Coleman, Willis, Shepherd, Birdville, and Buffalo High Schools.  In Mayde Creek, Coleman, Willis, and Birdville he served as the strength and conditioning coordinator.  He also served in the role of offensive coordinator at Coleman, Willis, and Shepherd.  He served as the athletic director and head football coach in Buffalo for 3 years before coming back to Madisonville.  Coach Savell is also a 2003 graduate of Madisonville High School.


After high school, Coach Savell played offensive line at Sam Houston State University where he was a member of the 2004 Southland Conference Championship team and later transferred to Texas A&M-Commerce where he played tight end and offensive line for the Lions while also being a member of the 2007 Lonestar Conference Championship team.

Coach Savell is married to Rachel and the two have been married for 18 years.  Rachel serves as the counselor for Madisonville Junior High.  They have two sons, Chanan (pronounced Caanan) who is 11 and Luke who is 8.  Coach Savell's hobbies include spending time with his family, cooking on his Black Stone, and coaching offensive line.
